Teak Maintenance
Teak is one of the most durable materials for outdoor furniture. Tribù selects only the finest Javanese plantation wood, harvested in accordance with strict environmental standards. Over time, when exposed to sun and rain, teak will naturally develop a silver-grey patina.
We recommend using Teak Super Cleaner to clean soiled furniture. If Teak Sealer is applied every season, a simple cleaning with water and a pH neutral soap will do for years. Teak Sealer is a sealer and is not the same as varnish. It is breathable, letting the natural oils escape without bubbling or peeling like varnish. Teak Protector protects the wood against stains and green deposit, without colouring the wood. We recommend to apply it after each cleaning.
This process is cosmetic and does not harm the strength or quality of the wood. To avoid the annual cleaning of the wood, you can apply Teak Sealer. Teak Sealer contains UV protection to slow down the greying from the sun as well as a fungicide to prevent the growth of mould and mildew. Teak Sealer can be applied to new teak or old teak furniture after it has been cleaned.
While this ageing process cannot be prevented, it can be managed and maintained using the appropriate care products:

Step 1 – Teak Super Cleaner
Restores the wood and brings it back to its original texture. -
Step 2 – Teak Protector
If you prefer to maintain the original colour, apply to new or sanded wood after two to three weeks. This creates an invisible protective layer while preserving the natural tone. -
Step 3 – Teak Sealer
Helps to slow down the greying process and maintain a more even appearance over time.

- Tracking: All orders will have a tracking number assigned, and customers can track their packages online. We are not responsible for any lost or stolen packages once shipped.
- Delivery Address: The customer is responsible for providing an accurate delivery address. We will not be responsible for any packages delivered to an incorrect address due to the customer's error.
- Delivery Issues: If there are any issues with the delivery of your package, please contact our customer service team as soon as possible so that we can investigate and resolve the issue.
RETURNS POLICY
- Returns: We accept returns on most items within 14 days of receipt of the package. Items must be returned in their original condition and packaging.
- Refunds: Refunds will be issued once the returned item has been received and inspected. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
- Shipping Costs: Shipping costs for returns will be the customer's responsibility, unless the item is defective or there was an error on our part.
- Non-Returnable Items: Some items are non-returnable, such as personalised or custom items, will be marked as such on the product page.
- How to Return an Item: To initiate a return, please contact our customer service team via email at info@sutherlandinteriors.ie with your order number and the reason for the return. We will provide you with instructions for returning the item.
- Exchanges: We do not offer exchanges at this time. If you would like to exchange an item, please follow the returns process and place a new order for the item you would like to receive.
